Your New Marketing Super-Power

Using a “Call to Action” takes your social media to the next level.

Have you made accounts on all the major platforms, started making some posts, or even enlisted an employee to create content and engage with the community?

Congratulations!

You have jumped passed the first hurdle in developing an online presence for your company. Taking the plunge and making that initial investment in setting up your accounts is a great first step, especially if you are someone who does not spend a significant amount of time on social media yourself.

What many business owners find, however, is that it is hard to tell if the time they invested in creating and updating those accounts is paying off.

“Sure, we got some follows and likes, but how do I know that they are contributing to my bottom line?”

In order to drive your audience towards steps that actually turn sales, you will need to take the extra effort to generate posts that present a “Call to Action” or CTA.

A CTA can come in many forms. As an example, you can set up an email subscription form with an enticing deal on your FaceBook page. When a viewer lands on your page, they will be presented with a post that encourages them to sign up to your email list; the post will promise that the first email they recieve will include a discount that is exclusive to subscribers.

By offering additional value with your CTA, people are far more likely to engage.

Email list offers have been shown to be particularly cost effective forms of marketing because they require no postage, and can include enticing graphics or videos that show your product or service in the best possible light. Furthermore, subscription based offers are excellent examples of CTAs because they require a person to spend just a bit of extra time viewing your name and logo as they sign up.

If you make the process visually engaging and add a touch of humor, your audience will leave the digital interaction feeling positively about your contribution.

There are many forms of CTAs available, and it is important to consult with your social media manager about the options that will be best suited for your particular business.
